Let’s set an appointment to meet.  We will want to get to know each other a bit.  You decide if you want to use me for your wedding.  I decide if I can marry you in good conscience.  We agree on a date and time.  You give me a $100 deposit to reserve the date on my calendar.  We set a time for a follow up meeting if necessary.  It’s pretty straight forward.

How much do you charge?

Each ceremony is unique and my fee varies depending on the time necessary to write and design your ceremony. Let’s discuss the type of ceremony you have in mind. Are you and your groom religious?  I am well versed in performing religious or secular (non-religious) ceremonies. It’s Your day, Your Way!   Depending on any customization of vows or special material I need to prepare, and if I need to travel out of Orange County , the cost may vary slightly. A $100 deposit is due to book the date.  Remember, no other individual you hire can make or break your wedding like the officiant. I will provide you a firm quote after we have had a chance to speak. 

Do you come to the rehearsal?

Typically I don’t need to come to the rehearsal.  Wedding coordinators run the show and I just get in the way.  We will have met by this time and you will have an outline of my part.  The rehearsal is mainly for the people walking in to know where to stand.  If you need me to attend and/or run the rehearsal, this can be arranged for an extra fee of $100.

How long is the average wedding?

25-30 minutes is an average time once it gets started.  If we add additional touches such as readings, music (which I strongly recommend), unity candles or sand, etc. it takes a little longer, but never over 35 minutes.

What if you are struck by lightening or something right before our wedding?

Thank God it hasn’t happened, but I have colleagues who are Officiants that I can call to help fill in for me.  If I can’t do your wedding, I will plug in another top notch professional.  If I agree to do your wedding and something tragic happens, I will make all the arrangements for you to connect you to someone great.  Don’t worry.
